Tripura Theatre journal ISSN: 3048-6548 is a bilingual (English/Bengali) journal that is committed to publishing a wide range of critical and scholarly approaches to various aspects of theatre and performing arts from their social, political, cultural, economic perspectives through academic essays, original/adapted play texts, reviews, interviews etc. The journal hopes to bring together current intellectual debates and artistic practices related to theatre and performing arts transpiring all over the country and the world. Recently it has been indexed in the UGC Care List.
Tripura Theatre does not ask for any fee whatsoever (processing, publishing etc.) from authors. This applies to all the authors from any country in the world. Publication in Tripura Theatre is absolutely FREE.
The submissions for the journal are divided into two categories:
. 1) On invitation: The articles/plays in this section are obtained from eminent theatre personalities/academicians from all over the world, strictly on the basis of invitation, and published with approval from the editorial board.
2) On response from the CFP: Here peer-reviewed original papers are published from research scholars, students, academicians, journalists etc.
Types of contents we publish:
We publish original research papers, plays, reviews, creative articles, interviews related to theatre.
Editorial Policies
1. Peer Review:
The journal follows a Blind Peer Review system.
At first the submitted articles are considered by the editors for the confirmation of the standard and the scope of the journal. If any submitted article fails to fulfil primary standards, the same is summarily rejected and the decision is communicated to the author in due course of time.
If the editors are satisfied, the submissions (research article submissions only) are sent to a reviewer for BLIND PEER REVIEWING. On receiving their report, observation and recommendation for acceptance and otherwise, the submissions are finally considered for publication.
2. Declaration of authors: The article must accompany a declaration signed by the author that the article/play hasn’t been published anywhere else.
3. Disclaimer: Views and opinions expressed in the articles/plays are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official position or policy of the journal. The editorial board of Tripura Theatre Journal is not responsible for any opinion of the contributors.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR PUBLICATION IN TRIPURA THEATRE:
1. The papers should contain maximum 3000 words and the articles/plays may be sent through mail in PDF and MS Word format. In addition, please send a hard copy addressed to the Editor by speed post only.
For English articles:
· Use MS Word
· Times New Roman, Font size 12pt.
· Left aligned
· 1.5 spacing
· Paragraph indentation
· Double spacing between paragraphs
For Bengali articles:
· Use Avro Keyboard.
· Font: Kalpurush, size 12 pt.
· Justified
· 1.5 spacing
· Paragraph indentation
· Double spacing between paragraphs
2. Authors must follow MLA style, latest edition, for referencing, citation et al.
3. In the main article, which is to blind reviewed, the author’s name SHOULD NOT BE MENTIONED. Only the title of the article should be mentioned.
4. Separate sheet should be attached, containing the title of the article, name of the author, designation, brief biodata with photo (100 words), E-mail Id, mobile number (WhatsApp), institutional address, postal address with pin code.
5. The article must accompany a declaration signed by the author that the article/play hasn’t been published anywhere else.
6. Editorial Board of the journal holds the right to edit, if necessary, and select the article.
7. Authors are expected to carefully proofread their work before submission.

Authors submitting their MS are expected to have proper understanding about the Anti-plagiarism policy of the journal. Nothing should be copied or borrowed in any form without proper acknowledgement or legal permission from the source text/original author in any way that may violate the latter person/party’s rights. Tripura Theatre shall not be responsible for any kind of copyright violation/infringement whatsoever.
In this regard a duly signed (full signature) Anti-plagiarism declaration form should be appended/attached with all submissions mandatorily (see next page).
